Minister of Industry checks commercial traffic before Eid | Jordan News



Ammon news – Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply continues intensive inspections to monitor markets before and during Eid al-Adha, to ensure traders are complying with industry law requirements and trade and advertise prices.

Ahead of Eid al-Adha, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, on Monday visited markets and stores in several districts, as well as the market of the Civil Service Consumer Corporation in the Al-Bayader Wadi Al-Seer district.

Ali said the prices of most commodities, such as oil, sugar and rice, are stable, according to the ministry’s price monitoring, thanks to market monitoring frameworks.

The Minister, accompanied by the President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, stressed the need to maintain price stability and continue to respect defense orders related to preventive measures against the Covid pandemic -19.

Ali was briefed by a number of visitors to shopping malls and consumer civic societies about the services provided, product availability and price stability.

The minister was also briefed by branch director Al-Bayader Civil Consumer Corporation on the availability of quantities and price stability, as the Corporation recently reduced the prices of 200 products to ease pressure on citizens.
